Demand for torque sensors will rise until 2020

The world market for pair sensors will grow steadily at an average annual
rate of 10% by 2020 to reach 1,920 million dollars, according to forecasts by experts at Technavio analyst firm.

Their study highlights that torque sensors are being driven by strong
demand in the automotive sector in which more efficient electric power
steering (EPAS) systems are increasingly penetrated.

They also point out that this is a very fragmented market in which 9 key
suppliers stand out, those favored by large industry and multinationals.
However, SMEs and smaller scale industries opt for regional suppliers that
provide specialized solutions and competitive prices.
